In this text Paul wants us to understand that Jesus is the real treasure, and that He that is worth sacrificing everything else for. Christianity is not a quick fix to our self-made problems or a magic salve for our guilty conscience. Rather, it is a chosen path, following in the footsteps of The LORD. (Philippians 3:1-11)
