In this section of Ephesians Paul shares a prayer, which is focused on the love of God, the power of God, and the glory of God. His prayer begins with the relationship between knowing and growing in the love of God within the Christian community. While God’s love in Jesus Christ “surpasses knowledge,” it is also the root and foundation of our life within His church. (Ephesians 3:16-21)
