Worship

Joyful celebration.  Quiet reflection.  Prayer & praise.

OuLifted Handsr Sunday morning services are filled with music, prayer, communion, and preaching as we connect with God and each other.  We may show a video clip or have someone share a personal story.  You’ll have a chance to shake a hand or (if you prefer) exchange a hug.

It’s not a performance for you to watch…it’s worship for you to experience.

Music

Music touches our hearts in different ways, so each Sunday morning service has a distinct musical flavor:

9:30 am.:  Traditional Service
We sing hymns (from a variety of eras), as well as more recent choruses…with music provided by keyboards, strings, and vocalists.

11:00 am.:  Contemporary Service
We sing a variety of worship songs in a variety of styles…with music provided by everything from small acoustic groups to a full band.

Preaching

We take the Bible seriously, though we recognize it’s not always easy to understand.  We do not claim to have all the answers; we just know that God speaks to people through this timeless book of truth.  You will hear messages that make you think…and sometimes make you laugh or cry.  And over time, as God’s wisdom seeps into us, hopefully we all will reflect more of the Lord’s gracious character in our lives.

Communion

In the midst of our frenetic days, we need some quiet moments.  In the midst of a world that can be petty and self-centered, we need a weekly reminder of the loving sacrifice of Jesus.  So we take communion every Sunday, giving each of us the opportunity to encounter God in an intensely personal way.

Does this sound inviting?  We hope so.  In our imperfect way, we’re just trying to help each other get closer to God.  Come with a sense of expectation…and go away refreshed.
