Why do you serve the Lord's Supper each Sunday?

Jesus taught His followers to observe a memorial meal of unleavened bread, representing His body, and the "fruit of the vine," representing His blood (Matthew 26:26-28). Jesus does command that we do this in remembrance of Him (Luke 22:19), but the Bible never quotes Him as commanding how often. Scriptures show that the early church observed this special "breaking of bread" regularly (Acts 2:42), probably each Lord's Day (Acts 20:7), and church history confirms that weekly observance was the usual practice.
